Join the Hennepin-Carver Workforce Development Board

Eligibility
Each seat on this board has specific parameters outlined in the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.

Time Commitment
Appointments are for a three-year term.

The Hennepin-Carver Workforce Development Board meets on the second Wednesday of every other month from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. (January, March, May, July, September and November).

Note: The March 2024 meeting has been rescheduled to Wednesday, April 3rd from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.

Each board member elects a committee on which to serve, committees meet the second week of every other month (February, April, June, August, October, December)

WIOA Local and Regional Plan

Hennepin-Carver Workforce Development Area (WDA-09)

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires each Local Workforce Area (WDA) to submit a Local and Regional Plan every three years to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). This plan outlines the vision and goals for Hennepin-Carver’s local and regional workforce development activities for federal program years 2024-2027. The 2024-2027 Hennepin-Carver Local and Regional Plan is now open for a Public Comment Period, closing on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
